The President’s Council is offering a variety of optional activities to further enhance your time in Scotland.  You previously indicated your interests when registering for the trip and now it is time to finalize your selections and submit payment so all tours can be confirmed on your behalf.  We encourage early registration as some tours have maximum guest capacity. 

Full payment is required when booking tours, with a booking deadline of March 12, 2024.  All tours include entrance fees, tasting, guide, and coach transportation if required. All tours and activities are in 100% cancellation penalty if canceled after May 13, 2024.

 Please only select one tour per person on July 8 and July 11.

This was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime adventure trip customized for our group of middle-age to senior travelers.

What a wonderful adventure!  Everything was so organized and efficient!!  The hotels were wonderful and the excursions terrific. The special dinner the last night was amazing. 
    Mark and Carey make every trip so special and do a great job of making their trips comfortable and relaxing. 

Carey, Mark, and the GT team did a fantastic job planning, coordinating and hosting our Purdue President’s Council Machu Picchu trip. 

We enjoyed the cruise and all the amenities...had a great time, good food and great company.  Hotel in Rome was a little pricey and not very friendly for what we paid.  Transportation was a little unreliable but we managed.

We had a fantastic time on the Italy - Sicily cruise on the Windsurf’ Accommodations were great, food was delicious, entertainment was fantastic (ship crew talent show was wonderful)! The crew was tremendous - so helpful and nice, especially Ni Luh! Definitely recommend this cruise and crew!

We had a great time, the Tuscany pre trip was wonderful, the Windstar cruise was amazing.  The only thing thatwoulf have made it better if the weather had been 10 degrees cooler.

The staff were wonderful and helpful.  The food was delicious and hot.  Our accommodations were terrific.
Global Tracks were extremely helpful with traveling especially when the airlines caused delays and rebookings

We absolutely loved the pre trip! It was a beautiful wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful time! It was too hot but still had a wonderful experience.

Great time! Enjoyed meeting other Purdue alums. Appreciated Purdue alums being grouped together for excursions and dining. 

The trip was wonderful . The staff on the boat was outstanding. The excursions were very nice. I would give the boat a four out of five stars. I liked the Scotland, Norway, Denmark boat much better.

Global Trax did an amazing job of organizing and planning our trip to Italy, Malta and several islands.  From the pretrip in Tuscany to the cruise on Windstar, every adventure was wonderful and the organized excursions just for our group were awesome.
We whole heartedly recommend Global Trax and all the President's Council trips we have been on with them.  
     Our new Purdue representatives on the trip did an amazing job getting up to speed (this was their first trip with us).  Hopefully one or both of them will be on every trip in the future so they won't have to keep reinventing the wheel and the travelers will feel like they have support from someone they know from previous trips.  This is really critical for this group when they travel.  

Traveling on a small ship with friendly, professional staff makes for a very enjoyable vacation.  It was also great to be the only ship in most of the ports so the excursions were not fighting crowds.  The splendors of Sicily was a good itinerary with the day at sea upfront to help with jet lag.  The Purdue exclusive excursions were excellent, just a long day that might have better ended mid afternoon.  As always, great hosts:  Carey and Mark.

Global Tracks did a fantastic job planning accommodations, meals, events/excursions for a group that travels together frequently and has high standards and expectations.   We used Global Tracks to plan a personal extension of this trip and couldn’t be more pleased with every of every aspect of our experience.

Always love being in Tuscany and was great having the opportunity to visit some new towns for us.  Very well planned and executed  

We enjoyed this trip very much. Top tier accommodation and good things tos to see. Among the best feautures was good food, not the bulk, uninteresting dishes prepared for crowds...actual ordering off the menu. Sights were unbelievably good.

Great pacing of the itinerary - having an arrival day at the Rome hotel helped all get adjusted to the time and not worry about making connections.  The hotel was fabulous and most gracious.  I appreciated that Global Tracks ensured that all restaurants, wineries, and the hotel could accommodate my food allergy.  It was also the right size of travelers for Purdue - two comfortable bus groups.  Thanks for making this another special travel experience.

Fabulous time in Tuscany. The hotel was really spectacular. Now it is my favorite over Adare Manor near Shannon. Both stays booked through Global Tracks.

Post-cruise package was excellent. Accommodation was top of the mark (comfort, dining, amenities, location and staff especially). Historic sites greatly enjoyed  - Chartwell, Churchill War Rooms, Imperial War Museum, and dining venues, Hever Castle and the Middle Temple. Our coach tour guide, David, was very informative and enjoyably droll. Our coach driver, Mark, safely transported us hither and yon, as well as wearing striking matched tartan vests and ties, which we looked forward to seeing each day. All a most memorable experience, planned and executed.

We had a great time. I do wish that when we do tours, we had electronic speakers so we could hear the guides when talking. Especially in larger groups and outdoors. It is hard to get 20 people close enough to hear the guides. 

I have enjoyed each of the Hillsdale College cruises, which have been managed by Global Tracks.  Everything went as planned and any questions were answered promptly.  I felt comfortable each step along the way.

Great guide Marcos, beautiful Mercedes bus, wonderful itinerary, perfect itinerary.  Would use them again.

University of Oklahoma Portugal 2025

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.  The folks traveling with this group were great, very compatible.   I do have some constructive feedback on the group meals and the accommodations.   The hotel rooms were fine for a single person but seemed small for two people and their luggage.  I thought the breakfasts at most of the hotels were very good.  However I was not satisfied with the quality of the food at the group meals.   The final dinner in Porto was good but the other group meals were just ok.  The meal in Tomar at the medieval restaurant was frankly terrible.   There were few options for vegetarians or folks that did not eat pork.  The wine was just ok.  The only item I thought was good was the soup.

Also having several one night stays in hotels made you feel like you were living out of your suitcase.  Hard to see all the locations without doing one-nighters but having two nights in a location would be better.

I loved our tour guide Marcos-very sweet young man and so helpful.  Carey and Mark did a great job too-kept us on the straight path.

Great guides.  They kept any issues from disrupting our trip.  
We have never been to Portugal before this trip and they were able to share much of the country with us.  The group got along without any issues.  We are looking forward to another opportunity to take another trip with OU and We Travel.

Very well done. Our Guide Marcos was top notch, as were Casey and Mark. Things went smoothly in spite of several irregular challenges (ie the multi country power black out). The hotel selections were outstanding. Wish we had had more time at Duoro River Valley, didn’t care for the Medievil lunch. The food was “meh” But overall we loved everything else

We enjoyed the trip very much.  Marcos was an amazing leader and David is an amazing bus driver.  The bus was super comfortable for me and my 6’4” husband.  It was hard moving from hotel to hotel so often.  Each hotel was lovely, but staying in 5 hotels over 9 nights was difficult.

We had a wonderful time, experienced Portugal and would use the travel service again.

We enjoyed the postcruise tour in Barcelona, etc. Sites, meals, accommodations, speaker - VDH is ever engaging and informative - well worth the price of admission. 

Hillsdale College Barcelona Post-Cruise Tour

The accommodations were great except that the TV did not feature FOX TV. I do not stay in hotels that do not carry Fox. The tour of Sagrada Familia as well as the park were outstanding. The guides were over the top.


The entire cruise and post cruise was better than we could’ve ever imagined. The post Cruise was well organized, and the lunch with Victor Davis Hanson was absolutely outstanding. We absolutely loved the tour of the magnificent church!  The morning breakfasts were a great chance to get to know other members on the cruise.  This Hillsdale College is so well organized it is no wonder they are a top educational institution!  Thank you from Renee and I.  We will be in touch. 

We had a fabulous experience on our cruise.  Our cabin was very roomy and elegant.  Exceptional bathroom and closet space.  The food was always excellent and plentiful.  Lots a great entertainment options, and the speakers were excellent.  We very much enjoyed meeting other passengers who were present due to their affiliation with Hillsdale College.  It was nice to be with a group of like-minded individuals.  Finally - We very much enjoyed each of the excursions we attended.  The guides were excellent and knowledgeable.  Only wish we could have done more, seen more.

I would strongly recommend skipping the island of Ibiza and, instead, spending 2 days in Valencia, Sorrento, Palermo or some other port where there is much, much more to see and would allow passengers to do more than one excursion in those ports.  The island of Ibiza has very few attractions other than night life, and we had to be back on the ship well before any night life started.  If you do not skip Ibiza, I recommend adding excursion offerings like a boat ride (sail or motor) or beach/snorkling option.  Our cruise last year, to the Wester Mediterranean, included sea kayaking options.  Something like that.  

I would also strongly recommend you NOT use the Iberian Airline for transport to the cruise destination.  Our flight this year was delayed 6 hours before it was cancelled, and then Iberia Air did very little to communicate or assist with rebooking.  We could not get rebooked until a flight that was nearly 30 hours AFTER our original flight.  We barely made it to the ship, even though we had planned on arriving a day ahead of time.  

Well planned, Winstar was a perfect sized ship, loved our suite. Philippine staff was outstanding, always wanting to please, and corrected issues quickly.
Several disappointing excursions, poor guides, who gave scattered trivial information. Could have given more substantial city/country information.
Food excellent!!
